There’s no better combination than March Madness basketball and a little alcohol, and we at Brothers Drake Meadery want to capitalize on that idea. We’re excited to announce the launch of our #MarchMEADness campaign!
Come in on any game night and tell your bartender which team you predict to win the current game when you open a tab. Once you receive your custom coaster for your chosen team, you should then tweet a selfie with your coaster before the first half ends and tag @brosdrakemead using the #MarchMEADness hashtag. At the end of the game, if your prediction was correct, show a bartender your tweet to receive 25 percent off of your tab.
We chose this campaign because we know that at the heart of March Madness is competition, whether it be between the teams or the fans. So we wanted to draw on the fans’ desire to be part of the game, and to get them involved while maybe bringing in some business for ourselves.
The incentive to get 25 percent off the tab will make customers want to participate, and the fact that they have to stay until the end of the game to find out if their team will win, forces them to stay at the bar for a few hours; and who knows, if they’re having fun, they may stay for the next game!
Additionally, this campaign will encourage user generated content, which will further promote our brand on social media and allow customers to engage with our online brand.
We think this campaign will be a success because it allows our customers to be part of our Brothers Drake Meadery community by spending an entire night (or multiple) of March Madness with us.
Similarly, everyone loves a discount; but this way, we’re bringing in money despite the 25 percent off, because customers are staying longer and buying more drinks while they wait to see who wins the game.
Finally, it’s easy! All you have to do is send one quick tweet of yourself with your custom coaster and then hang around and drink until you find out if you’ve won.
There’s nothing our audience loves more than community, discounts and simplicity. So we’re excited to combine those aspects with the popularity of March Madness and bring you #MarchMEADness.
